When I decided to develop printable resources to go with each costume design I knew I wanted to include a lot of unique imagery. I didn’t want to purchase generic clip art, I wanted artwork that really captured the spirit of Mermaids and Dragons and so I decided to work with an Irish illustrator and I can honestly say that meeting Nadia for a coffee was one of the best decisions I made.
Nadia is a freelance illustrator and the designer/owner of a baby clothing brand. She’s also a bit of a ‘Jack of all trades’. She studied textile design at NCAD but a lot of what she does now was self-taught. She has spent most of her life drawing pictures.
She has a little girl and is married to a guitar teacher. She’s a huge fan of ‘cup o soups’, true crime podcasts and long walks. She loves everything from the 1990s except pop music. She’s a music snob. She’s also an expert at trimming her own fringe.
What Nadia enjoys most about her job is the variety of things she gets to do. She enjoys being creative and meeting new people. The only downside to working for herself is that it can get a bit lonely sometimes.
You can find Nadia over at www.mooblesandtoobles.com where you can see for yourself the extraordinary talent that this woman brings to her work.
